Welcome to The New Talbot, Silver End, Brierley Hill

Though easy to miss as traffic rushes by up and down the A461, the New Talbot is, on the inside, a very attractive pub with a beautiful Victorian/ Edwardian interior, including lots of antique furniture, offering a good range of ales and good traditional pub food. It is prominently located on Brettell Lane between Brierley Hill and Amblecote with its own private parking to the rear AND also offers a high standard of accommodation for those looking for a good value place to stay. All in all, good value and a warm welcome seem to be the watchwords for this decpetively accommodating hostelry.

Owned and managed by Graham and Rita Keeling for the past 13 years the pub has a convivial and relaxing atmosphere with defined bar and lounge areas around a large horseshoe shaped bar. There are several well cared for old-fashioned hearths and a range of good sized old solid wood tables and period chairs and two main sweeps of plush bench seats in the two main alcove windows. Outside the rear there is a small South facing patio area and a good sized car park.

The accommdation, which adjoins the pub, offers four comfortable rooms - two double and two single rooms - at reasonable rates and has become increasingly popular with visiting business people, so much so that further development of this aspect of Graham and Rita's business is likely in the not too distant future.

The freshly cooked food includes Lite Bites, Appetisers, Main Courses and House Favourites - something for every taste.

Examples from our menu:
Honey Roast Duck Giant Tiger Prawns
Braised Lamb Knuckle Steak & Kidney Pie
Cajun Chicken 16oz T Bone Steak
Tuna & Pasta Bake Seafood Platter
Thai Chicken Curry Bar snacks, LiteBites & a Specials Board

Always on tap: Bombardier, Enville Ale, John Smiths Smoothflow, Theakstons Mild, Guinness, Fosters and Kronenbourg lagers and Dry Blackthorn cider - plus a regularly changing list of guest ales.

The New Talbot is approximately 10 miles west of Birmingham and 3 miles from Stourbridge on the A461 at Silver End opposite the junction with Bull Street. Click for map
